Transfer baby from Matilda to qmh?

Dear all - wondering whether anyone has any experiences on moving their newborn from the Matilda nicu to QMH's.
I ask as my insurance is being vague about post natal care and while i clarify with them would like to know whether anyone has been through this? Were you taken on as public or private patient following transfer ?

Haven't been though this situation, but I would speak with your Pediatrician directly about this as you would need him to make a referral for the baby to be admitted to QHM. Explain to him the problem with the insurance and costs. He might even offer a discount on his fees. They should be understanding.
 
If there's an emergency they will transfer your baby to NICU at Queen Mary, which has the best facilities. At admittance at QM you can upgrade to private care, but patients will stick with the public
