Toy Story 3 - NOT 3D?

Hi.. i've been hoping to bring my kids to see Toy Story 3 at the theatres.. even some of the Toy Story 1 and 2 rerun.. but it seems like apparently EVERYTHING is being shown in 3D, which I've heard is not that good for the kids' eyes.

has anyone see these shown in 2D anywhere? it's such a bummer, i can't bring them to any 'animation' movie now.

the biggest problem with the 3d is that the glasses are too big.

i took my two kids to see shrek last week. they both were fine, they just held the glasses in place.

i just overheard it on Chinese news a few times and just assumed that's true. other thing is, my kids are still quite young, 2.5 and 4.5, but love going to the theatre. but we've only done 2D and they loved it. 4.5 yo got so scared of the 3D stuff after going to Disney, vowed never to go 3D again :p So I'm a bit stuck. the glasses will just be impossible for my 2.5 yo, even if he's not scared.

I've also heard and felt (after Avatar myself) that 3D is quite a strain on the eyes for the extended period... sigh.. the search continues, but i really doubt if i'll find it :)

There is usually 1 theater that will show the 2D version. Usually it's Tung Chung.
