Hope your infection is all better. I agree with the others that the infections is probably a manifestation of lack of rest and sleep which all mothers especially new mothers are deprived of. As for me, I get eye infections easily since birth of my baby girl. 3 times in a space of just 4 months!
Also stress lowers our resistance to infection as well, we need to constant remind ourselves though I know it is hard!
Another thing is prolonged course of antibiotics may reverse effect and cause resistance of whatever bacteria you are trying to kill to the antibotics, you may want to switch different types of antiobiotics. I will also be a good idea to get a culture and see if the bacteria is already resistance to whatever antiobitics you are on - if so, the antiobiotic will not work and it will be pointless to continue them! Personally I feel docs in HK over prescribed antibiotics and for too short a course thus causing resistance to be an increasing problem. Hope this helps
