I have a 10 week old baby and our next door neighbours have started renovating their flat. Drilling is going to be pretty constant for at least the next few weeks. The whole renovation is going to take 3 months. Needless to say her already dodgy daysleeps have been interrupted. She is hopelessly overtired by the end of the day, which means she doesn't settle well at night.
The drilling is sort of off and on, so it isn't like I can put her down when it is either on or off. As soon as it starts up again, she is startled by it (understandably).
We have agreed a certain lunch break with the contractors, but a 10 week old isn't that predictable.
I already have white noise on in her room (to block out the noise of my 3 year old) but there is no way it blocks out drilling.
Anyone have any tips? My only thought is to go back to Australia for a month or so ! It is getting a bit too hot to go for a walk with the pram everytime she needs a nap. Do they get used to it?
