Thoughts and experiences with HK antenatal classes

I was wondering if any mums or mums-to-be could share their experiences with the different antenatal class offerings in HK? Such as Standard prenatal classes, HypnoBirthing, CalmBirth, GentleBirth etc. There appear to be a lot of choices out there.

I have the same questions. Did u find out which ones are the best in the end? Thanks.

No one on here replied. I've heard good things from several people about the Annerley Classes.

I went to a presentation on HypnoBirthing through A Mother's Touch and did some reading on GentleBirth (also offered by A Mothers Touch) but decided neither were for me, personally.

I've signed up for Australian CalmBirth with Kathy Kitzis in Dec.

Hope that helps.

Hey thanks for your updates! I read abt hypno classes n they didn't sound like it's wat I was after either. It's first time I heard abt calm birth classes. I checked their website but it didn't carry much details as to exactly wat the class entails. Would u by any chance able to fill me in how u may find this different from the rest as u have elected to go with this. Thanks again!

CalmBirth is similar, but different from HypnoBirthing. I can't say much about the class structure, as I have yet to take it but Calmbirth was developed by a midwife and Hypnobirthing by a hypnotherapist. Both are about being relaxed about the birth process, but I feel that CalmBirth incorporates more scientific and medical research and therefore more suited to my personality.
