Thomas The Tank @ Gold Coast Hotel

I've actually booked this for the night of the 22nd Dec. The 24th and 25th Dec are fully booked. We've been to the hotel before for dinner buffets (which is quite good) and the surrounding is very pleasant. We booked this mainly for the kids to have some fun. However I have heard from friends that the activities are really good and the kids have a good time.
I think its a good deal especially during this time of year.

We've been to a buffet there recently. My son couldn't get enough of watching the train go round and round and round! There is also another train at the Mall with a giant Christmas tree. I reckon the Gold Coast hotel is one of the best places to be at Christmas especially for the kids.
Biased of course, we live at the GC ;-)
 
Do I have to stay in the hotel overnight? Or can I just go in for a few hours? Trying to decide to go here or to OCean Park's winter festival. any opinions?
 
You don't need to check into the hotel. We've just made reservations for champange brunch. Definitely less crowded than Ocean Park. And, we get to enjoy the day too ;-)
 
We just booked the Jazz Champagne Brunch at the Atrium Lobby Lounge. I had wanted to go to the buffet at the Cafe Lagoon, but most days are full already. So if you're planning to go, better make reservations early!
