symptoms

Nice to hear that your body is responding well to the meds and everything is now on schedule!!

Are you doing your ER on Monday morning? Good luck!

I don't know what kind of anesthesia I had, but I remember I had terrible cramping afterwards, not sure if that was related though.

All the best Adrianna! :)

Adrianna, my anesthesia was a semi-one, a twilight anesthetic, it is based on morphine. Very easy. To be honest, I quite liked it! I woke up towards the end and can remember a little discomfort but no pain. I'm sure you're ER will be fine on Monday. It was all quite calm for me. Wishing you all the best!!

hi hkiegal...i know ladies who start hpt'ing (or as iolana and many ladies on boards refer to it as peeing on a stick POAS) about 11 days after a 3dt.
Adrianna, like liquorice, I LOVED anaesthesia. I was all the way under and it was lovely. Woke up and I was a babbling fool and said all sorts of embarrassing things, though!
Congratulations on your follicle count, eight is a good solid number, and pretty much what they aim for.
iolana - wow....thank you for sharing your wonderful, wonderful news. i have often wondered about you.

Hi Adrianna - just a clarification - anesthesia is use for the ER. No anesthesia for the ET but there is no need... it is compared to having a smear test. The only discomfort I felt with the ET was having to keep a full bladder for a long time.

Hi girls! Yes, Liquorice, I know. I was checking with you on this because they told me about general anaesthesia for ER. I'll have ER on Monday (tomorrow) and I was quite concern knowing that general anaesthesia is avoided sometimes for possible collateral damages (could provoke headaches etc.).
About ET, they seems to prefer local anaesthesia but I think I understood wrong 'cause everywhere I read on internet on ET it is not about any kind of anaesthesia at all. I really hope it won't be necessary...
Liquorice, when do you have the ET?
Wish you good luck girls and a BIG HUG to all of you!

Thinking about you today Adrianna!

I didn't have any anaesthesia for ET.

Liquorice, how are you feeling?

May, you gearing up?

xo

Hi MayC - the hpt I was talking about was the one I took after my first IVF round. Haven't got to that stage yet on this round and - guess what! -I may not. So frustrating.

I went to have my scan this morning and my uterus lining isn't thick enough. It hasn't thickened at all since the last scan on Friday. This is after I have continued taking drugs for an extra 3 days (and increased the dosage). I will now continue for another 3 days, have a scan on Wednesday, but if it doesn't look good then my doctor wants me to give up this cycle then try next time on a natural cycle. FYI, he said this is less of a problem on a natural cycle - if it happens then they will give you drugs to thicken it but I am already taking all the drugs so not much they can do.

This is what is so stressful about this process, months and months can go by if something doesn't work out as you anticipate. My cycle is very irregular. Last time the doctor had to put me on the pill in order to regulate it. I reckon it will be another couple of months until a proper natural cycle can happen. And of course, not to mention the cost of spending lots of money on consultations and drugs and then not even getting a chance to try.

So we will see what happens. I will know on Wednesday whether I can try for an FET this time or not.

You start your cycle in a week or so don't you MayC?

Adrianna - ER today right? Did it go okay?

Dimsum mum - thanks for your thoughts.

MayC and Liquorice, good luck to both of you!

I am still waiting and waiting........hahaha.....another 4 more days, will try a HPT on friday morning.

Adrianna, hope everything is well with you, we are waiting to hear from your good news! :)

Hi girls! Sorry for yesterday but I has some technical problem and I hadn't access to the blog.I wasn't able to communicate with you, so frustrating! I kept trying but no way to do it tight.
So, I had my ER yesterday, they retrieved 11 eggs, 9 mature and 2 small size, imature (they keep them on observation). Just now, when I'm writting to you they called me to say that on those 9 remained today 8 plus the 2 ones still imature size. So, that's it. Like you said, the general anaesthesia did go well, when they woke me up I was laughing (dreamt a beautiful movie).
MayC I have the inverted uterus too, so I think ET could be uncomfortable for me too.
They gave me Endometrin (progesterone vaginal tablets 100 mg) two times a day for 15 days. This evening I will finish the antibiotic.
That's it, I hope not to loose many eggs when after fertilization the cells will start to divide themselves.
A big hug, waiting to read you!

Congrats Adrianna, hope ET will go smoothly for you too!! Are you also doing a 3dt? Good luck and all the best!

Thank you MayC, hkiegal! Let's hope it will be good in the end! I am such afraid!
Good luck to you both, good luck Liquorice!
hkiegal, I think the doctor prefer to do a 3dt. When I asked her the first time she let me understand that this is her option. I don't know if in other situation they will change. I wait their call let you know.
One question for you girls: after beginning the Progesteron (Endometrin) did you feel sick like in low blood pressure, syntomps of vomiting? Today I don't feel good at all.

Hi Adrianna, I didn't feel sick at all but quite tired. I had an allergic reaction to something though. It started about four days after taking the progesterone. Really itchy itchy skin - terribly bad that kept me awake at night. No rash until I scratched it and then a rash would appear. I spoke to the doctor twice about it but he didn't think it had anything to do with the progesterone. Nothing else changed though (food, washing powder etc.) so I still think it was something to do with the medication. Anyway, I suffered for a couple of days but then gave in and took an anti-hystemine prescribed by my GP (and approved by my fertility doctor).

Liquorice did you take Endometrin too? Or someone of you girls took this? I ask to check if is the same, maybe sometimes the concentration in some medicine is different or something else. I have my breasts big and sorrow, I have this sensation to vomit, I don't know. I wait and see, if nothing change, maybe on the ET occasion I will tell the doctor. I feel the tyroid big too.
MayC you start the countdown isn't it? Cross the fingers for you.
The same for you too Liqorice!
hkiegal just wait to read about your pregnancy!

Fantastic news Adrianna! Eight fertilized is fantastic. You're doing a great job. I always felt crummy after ET and tried to take it easy. Very "full" and crampy. May describes it well...so many hormones in your poor body in such a short time!

I took progesterone suppositories following ER to beta blood test.

Liquorice, I know other ladies who have gotten a rash from progesterone. That has got to be so uncomfortable.

xo

Thank you dimsum mum! Let's hope for the best as I hope for all of us! Maybe when will have this so desired gift we'll be able to meet each other and celebrate, forgeting all our problems, tears and depressions! A big hug to all of you girls!
hkiegal, you are the first, a few more days and we'll know.

Being the first to know the result in a few days, I hope I won't disappoint you girls ........hehehe:)

Wish me luck!!

Hi girls! hkiegal GOOD LUCK! MayC I pray to be fine for all of us!
Liquorice, thank you. They gave me this Endometrin, vaginal tablets. Today, I feel better, still feel swollen, but yesterday was a nightmare. Even the heart felt all that gas.
This morning I went to the IVF Center and check my file. I didn't have patience to wait for their phone call and I thought I would understand better. So today I have 6, 1 small size and 5 normal one. 3 divided in 2 cells, 1 in 3 cells, 1 in 5 cells and 1 in 4 cells. The others not yet.

Went for my scan today and - good news - all good to go for the FET. They will do it on Saturday.

Good luck to all of us!!
