Switching from breast milk to cow'sr milk?

I've been breastfeeding my baby since birth but would like to stop now that he is one year old. He is feeding well on 3meals of solids each day, supplemented with two small bottles (3-4 oz) of EBM plus night-time and morning time nursings.

I don't mind continuing the nursing, but would like to stop pumping the EBM at work. I've already spoonfed him some milk with Cheerios for a snack and he seems to be okay with cow's milk.

My question is, if I stop pumping at work (i.e. no more EBM feeds during the day), should I substitute that with regular whole milk? If so how many oz of cow's milk should I be giving a 12-month old baby need on a daily basis?

:thanks

I'd try giving the same amount of cow's milk as you would EBM. Your baby is now in the weaning stage and has begun to eat other foods. Ultimately you want him to stop drinking milk and get his nutrition from solid food. If you start giving larger quantities of cow's milk than if he were breastfeeding you are moving in the wrong direction.

Best wishes,
SARAH
