How many people are you going to invite? If you have the party during the week, many of the restaurants in SOHO/LKF maybe willing to do a deal if you can guarantee 30-40 people, for either drinks/snacks or even dinner. There's lots of themes - Hawaiian, Tarts and Vicars, 70's (to relive his youth).

I would say around $150-250/head depending on the selection of canapes. If you want guests to pay for their own drinks, then the bar may offer you happy hour prices and even give you the canapes for free. The folks at Igors are very helpful, and their Spanish tapas bar La Bodega in LKF would be an ideal venue. They also have the Crowe's Nest which is above Stormy Weather and you can book the whole floor.
