Supporting documents for helper visa application when we are new to Hong Kong

We have just moved to Hong Kong in May and have found a wonderful helper. We are going through the process of arranging her employment visa. One part of this process is supporting documentation that you can pay for the helper.

It requires that you have 3 months of payslips / bank statements showing salary. Alternatively you can show a tax assessment or 6 months of bank statements showing savings.

Since we have just moved here, we don't have 3 months of payslips / salary payments. Also we haven't yet had a tax assessment.

And the immigration department said they would not accept UK bank statements that show our savings.

Can anyone tell us how we can convince the immigration department that we have sufficient funds to cover this? HELP!!

Thanks
Alex

Do you think you can ask yr husband's hr dept to write a letter confirming yr husband's employment and monthly income.

we simply used a letter from my company confirming my salary on company letterhead and did not provide bank statements. Didn't have any follow up questions
