Yes, this is possible.
For example, if you wanted to subscribe to the Baby's Health forum and get all the latest by email, what you can do is click on "Forum Tools" (gray bar right above the first thread) and click the "Subscribe to This Forum..." link in the drop down menu (see attachment, you have to be logged). This will then take you to a page with more options to either get notifications through your control panel, daily updates or weekly updates by email.
To unsubscribe or to manage your subscriptions: Go to your Control Panel and on the left hand side under "My Subscriptions", click on "List Subscriptions" to see or delete your subscriptions.
