Stroller as check-in baggage or handcarry?

hi,

I am travelling with my 6 month old baby next week to Singapore on a Cathay Pacific flight. I was told by CX that my stroller would have to be checked in and can't be carried on board - I thought I had read in another thread that they allow you to take your stroller right up to the gate and then they take it away and give it back to you when you depart at the gate..... any one has any experience on this with CX?

I suspect what they meant is that you can't take it on board, they will check it just before you board (at the gate). This is how we've always done it. Wouldn't worry!

When you check in, just tell the ticketing agent you would like to "check the stroller in at the gate". This will allow you to push the stroller right up to the door of the plane. The stroller will also get delivered to the gate (just outside the door) when you arrive. Most of the time it will take a while for them to get the stroller for you. If you don't mind waiting, it's fine. Good luck and have fun.
