Stomach pain one year post c-section

Had a c-section at QMH last year and everything went well. Incision healed perfectly.
Since two weeks ago, I have been feeling a dull pain in my abdomen. There is pain throughout the day but hurts more when I carry heavy things or get tensed. My guess is I might have strained myself by carrying my child who is now rather heavy too much.
I am thinking I should go for a check-up to find out if it is indeed a muscle strain or if it's something major, complications related to my c-section surgery, stomach cancer, etc.
Does anyone have any advice on who I should consult if the pain persists (public or private both fine)? Or has anyone similar experience? This is my second c-section btw.

Hi,
Sounds like it could be a hernia. You should consult a doctor soon to get it evaluated just to be sure. A general surgeon private or public should be fine. Hope you feel better soon.

Hi merlinmama,
Think you are right.. The symptoms do seem like that of hernia. I am just wondering now, if I should go to a GP to assess my stomach area to confirm or head straight to a surgeon to treat hernia.
Does anyone have any recommendations for surgeons? I live on hk side. Thanks so much!

most surgeons will require a referral from a GP, would see a GP first to confirm the diagnosis and go from there.
