St Pauls? or other private hospitals on Kowloon side?

Hi

I'm thinking about having a baby at St Pauls in July this year. Was wondering if anyone had any recent experiences there? good or bad. Or if anyone can recommend any other private hospitals on the Kowloon side. I noticed from reading most of the other threads that most people recommend hospitals on the HK side (ie matilda, adventist), but there doesn't seem to be much mention of hospitals on kowloon side. Is there a reason for this? Also, if someone could give me an idea as to costs for an elective c-section that would be great.

Thanks!

A quick call to the maternity ward of the hospital you are considering will give you a "rate card" with their current costs. I found these very useful as the whole process is pretty much itemised (or not useful once you start adding up the $$$$ it is going to cost).

All the best for July too.

Union hospital

You may like to consider Onion Hospital at Tai Wai (New territories), which is a station from Shatin station.

I had a natural delivery there last Aug, they're superb!

Make an appointment with them as they are able to show you around the hospital including different type of maternity wards.

If I have a second baby, I would definately consider going back there despite we are living at HK side.

Good Luck!

Im going to have my baby in June at the Hong Kong Baptist Private hospital. I went there to look around and give my deposit and I was very happy with the staff and the hospital. Here are the costs for the packages...Natural Birth from 15,880.00 HK - 37,800.00 Hk (depending on what room type you want. and Elective Caesarean birth package from 17,800.00 - 43,380.00 HK $. I hope this helps :)
