Soothing cream for Mosquito bites

Can anyone recommend a cream or ointment that can be applied on a toddler's (below 2) mosquito bites to soothe the itching and the swelling? Thanks.

I just came back from my ped, Dr Alfred Tam and he prescribed Uni- Rax-HC cream for my 1 year old.

He says to apply immediately on the bites.. the cream is suppose to stop the itch and prevent scaring.

It lists the beneficial properties as: soothing, moisturising, antiseptic, anti-bacterial

Arwen - I will also ask my ped for a prescription when I see him next week just in case. Last summer, my LO (then a 1 year old) got a mozzie bite on his face and I just put on some over the counter creams. He scratched so much that he has a scar on his cheek to this day.

I've seen the aloe vera gel sold at many places: IMI, 360, Wing On, Apita.

1% hydrocortisone cream is ok not on the face though and apply sparingly. that is what we use

I tried cherubs rub soothing cream on myself before I gave it to my LO, seems to work quite well, and I think all the ingredients are natural, feel safer to use.
