Soccer for 3 year old

Thanks for the information I will certainly look into it. What about Stanley? I have heard there are weekend soccer and rugby for kids.

We've tried both Socatots (brazilian league) and Playsports soccer. The Brazilian league is way better. They group the kids by age, whereas Playsports group the 3-6 year olds together. The 3 year olds don't have a chance of getting the ball from the 6 year olds. The Socatots teachers are warm and are great with kids. The Playsports teachers maybe good soccer players but have no experience with 3 year olds.

Is Socatots still popular for young toddler? i'm thinking of enrolling my 16 months old daughter to try (looking at YWCa).
Any comments from mom whose kiddies are currently in the class?
Thanks in advance

Thanks Buckeroo for sharing your comment, i'm going to try going down to see the class to understand better as it's quite unlike the other playgroups. but as my daughter is very very active with lots of energy, so thinking this could be a great class for her to try. how old did your son started the class? are there toddlers around 16 months old?

my 2 year old goes twice per week and my son goes once. both of my kids LOVE it!

everytime we drive past the pitch, my daughter waves and says, "bye bye coach!"

the coaches are awesome and the kids have a great time while at the same time learn the gross motor skills in creative ways.

There is a class for "Walking to 2 Years." The only reason why I haven't enrolled my daughter in this is that the schedule for this group didn't work for me.

I have, on a couple of occasions, taken her to my son's class and we had to hold her back from trying to join in with the older kids!

my 2 year old regularly joins in with the 4 year old class. the class was fairly small and the coach didn't mind at all. as the class gets to have more students in it, we've held her back from it.

my kids go in sai kung... so i'm sure there are other places, too.

have a look at their website. they'll have all of the locations listed.

I see the current session ends in the beginning of April. Does anyone know if another session will start soon after? I am interested in signing up my 18mo but can't find any info on next session. I was hoping it would start soon because I'll mostly likely be gone most of July and don't want my son to miss out. I contacted them but haven't heard back yet. Also, if anyone has a child who has outgrown their mandatory uniform, I would be interested buying it from you. I am looking for a size to fir a 2 yo as my son will grow into it very quickly.

new session will be out probably just before easter or after. now YWCA has started the online enrollment so thankfully u dont have to stand in line for 3 hours. the current session ends around 19th april.

wow! 3 hours??? seriously?

i called socatots, told them i wanted to enroll my son. they said, come to the next session, he can have a trial... we did... he loved it... we enrolled... that was it.

another reason not to live on hong kong island!

Just an update, I called Socatots and they sad we could come next week for a trail class. The current session ends beginning of April, then they take a 2 week break for Easter, and the next session will start end of April and go thru June.
Thanks for all the info everyone!!
