Slow in development?

Hi all, my friend's baby can point out all the animals in books and point to all the correct family members at home. Hes only 10 months and my baby is almost 12 months now and she can't do any of that yet. Am wondering if thats normal? Or is my baby slow in development? Im a bit worried....

I'm not too big on the milestone stuff. There's quite a big variation in when babies hit milestones. I think you'll find lots of babies that don't do what your friend's baby does. My son doesn't say Mama-Dada yet, though he knows who's who - he just babbles. I'm not really bothered.

Its almost impossible to judge at such a young age. Relax, stop worrying and remember that Einstein didnt speak till he as way past 4 years old.

She's not even 12-month-old so I wouldn't worry about it at all. I think most babies are ok as long as they "point" by 15 months.
