My baby boy is now 9-weeks old - he has a rather funny sleeping/feeding pattern. Like last week, towards the eveniing he would become completely fussy and refuse to sleep for a long stretch - waking up may be every 30 minutes and was very clingy. This left us rather exhausted. We first thought that it may be because his dad loves to play with him at 10pm and he got over-stimulated, so we stopped doing that after 4 days and starting from the 5th day he miraculously (almost) slept through the night. However he could go without feed for 8+ hours and we start to get worried about his feeding pattern. Up till now he's only taking 100-120ml of breastmilk (I usually pump everything out cos it's really inefficient to feed from breast) per 4 hours - at 9 weeks isn't this amount too little? I don't have a weight at home so I cannot tell if he has gained weight after the last visit to the doctor, but when I hold him I can tell that there isn't much of a difference in weight. We are worried because he's taking about the same, if not less, amount of milk as compared to his newborn days (he had a good weight gain for his 1st month). Anyone had similar experience?
