Morning. Have read a couple of threads on Sleep Clinic (Annerley).

Would like to check if anyone has more recent experience with them and whether it works. Does the consultant just read the schedule or stay over at night?

I didn't read any others besides Annerley .. if you have other recommendation, would very welcome too. Thank you.

My little was sleeping through the night at 7 weeks, now at 8 months, she typically falls asleep between 8.30 - 9.30 and will wake up 8 - 9 hours after, 1 - 2 hours before dawn (sometimes 5 hours after falling asleep), so we haven't had uninterrupted sleep for a while and miss them :) She has started on solid and naps pretty well (short one in the morning, and slightly longer in the early afternoon). Any wisdom on correcting this will be greatly appreciated too.

Check Yvette out at The Family Zone

What are you doing when she wakes up?

Have you tried a small milk feed? Is she hungry - i think that there is another growth spurt around now.

Is she cold? Is she wet?

How does she fall asleep? Rocking ? Patting or on her own?

Hi Sazzy, usually just pat her for a little bit, and she goes back to sleep. Sometimes we give her some milk, she takes an ounce and back to sleep, so i don't think she is hungry.

Not cold, not wet :)

She falls asleep on her own in our bed at this moment Will scream bl**dy murder if we put her in her cot, haven't got that worked out yet.

Hi Obiwan, my 11 month old is in the same pattern like your baby. I have no advice to offer but I really like to try out the sleep fairly recommended by Southside.

I have not been able to get on their website yet. I would let you know how it goes. Please keep my posted if you found anyone fix your little one's sleep problem.

Thanks

My 4 1/2 months old is having "night waking" for almost 2 months. His routine schedule:
wake up at 6am, 5 times feed during the day
1 short nap (45 mins - 1hr) in the morning and 1 longer nap for 2-3 hrs after his 2pm feed
hit the crib between 7:30pm - 8:30pm
last feed between 11:30pm - 12midnight

His night waking happens between 4am - 4:30am. On a good day, takes me less than 15 mins to tuck him back to bed but recently, it takes over one hour to put him back to sleep. I have ruled out all the possibilities from heat, cold, wet, hunger, lighting, illness but the crying is quite persistent even padding or rocking won't do any good. He will cry until exhausted, then hit the bed..

Does it sound familiar to any of the parents? I am also looking for baby sleeping disorder specialists. Any recommendation from clinics or hospitals?

3 - 4 hour nap + 9 hours sleep at night sounds about right. My thought is that he is waking up cos he has had enough sleep.

It's been 14 days since we started sleep training, very pleased to say that everything is working perfectly. I would love if she can wake up after 6am, but it's good enough that we don't have to wake up anymore :)

Sleep help

Hello!

I have a similar problem - I need help training my baby to sleep, and not just a day time consultation - I need help at night as well. Any ideas or recommendations?

I had Deborah from Annerley come see us last week and my 10 month old now sleeping much better. I kept a log of her sleeping/eating for a few days beforehand and that helps her assess what the problem is. She'll advise on changes to routine and how to deal with waking and putting back to sleep during night. My daughter was having a longer morning nap/shorter afternoon one, changing this around has made a huge difference. Would definitely recommend a consultation with her.
