sit n stroll and cathay pacific

Hi,

I've heard that the sit n stroll may be a bit too wide (18") for the Cathay Pacific airbus (17.5") seats. I'd like to find out from those who have actually used the sit n stroll in CX flights on whether it is actually possible to fit the sit n stroll into the seats. If so, how did you do it ? My husband reckons brute force will work !!!

A few more questions about the sit n stroll
1. does it fit through the aisle of the plane ?
2. will it fit onto the bulkhead seats ?
3. does CX require car seats to be placed at the window seat on a plane ?

Did you ever find out if it fits? I am thinking of getting one when i go to the states but if does not fit into cathay seats then it will be no use....
 
Ours didn't fit on an Air NZ flight, but we just lifted the arm and it was fine.
It is hard to say that it fits or doesn't fit an entire airline. They fly different planes on the same routes and the planes are of different ages.
We have been back and forth to the US on Delta, Continental and Korean, all more than once, and never had a problem.
We went to Australia on Thai Air without a problem. We have flown on shoter routes with Cathay, Dragon and Singapore without a problem.
Having said that, I am sure we'll have a problem on our next flight....
 
i use the sit n stroll on all cathay flights, it fits fine.

the main problem you get is the flight attendants telling you you still need to hold the child on take off and landing due to the way the sit n stroll sits on the seat, my one is an old one and the seat belt goes over the seat, not hooked up through the back of the seat. I have arguments with them every time showing them the sticker that its FAA approved.

1. - i couldn't wheel it down the aisle, i go them to carry it on for me
2. fit bulkhead fine
3. i have been in all different seats with it not just window seat.

Thank you all for all the info, it's great help...do you guys use it on taxis in HK? do the seatbelts in the taxis work for it?
 
We have used it in taxis without any problem. Helps if someone jumps in with the car seat and starts buckling in whilst someone else (slowly) hands over the luggage. That way you have enough time to get everything set before the driver wants to leave.
