We are planning to take our 2.5-yr-old to Singapore next month. Heard that there is a very nice zoo. anyone been there? is it good? how many days you have to spend at the zoo? my boy loves all animals.

apart from the zoo, where else in Singapore should we visit? for great food / great places for baby / shopping. Thanks.

1 day in the zoo is enough and if u are interested in the night safari. We went to sentosa island also and vivo city for shopping . Orchard has great malls for shopping and eating. I think 4- 5 days are fine.

We also took our son on the duck tour

My almost 2 year old (at the time) LOVED the Zoo. We didn't plan long enough though (should have done a whole day and taken her pram so she could sleep, rather than a 1/2 day).

We just paid for a taxi from the hotel to save on the travel time and hassle. Best zoo I have been to yet! Have only been to those in Aust. China and Sing though! Have a great time - I really enjoy my stays in Singapore.

Singapore is child friendly so every restaurant we went to had high chairs which made meals more stress free. DD was 22 months when we took her and we went for a boat ride in the harbour, the zoo, meals along Boat Quay and walks in the Botanical Garden. I was not that impressed with Sentosa but then it has been about 5 years since I have been and I did go without children. The Tiger Balm Gardens might be fun for a child too.
