We have a 3 yr old girl in whom we noticed some traits which could be signs of ADHD or other behavioural problems. We have been advised to take her to a Developmental Paediatrician for behavioural assessment.
We are expecting a new baby and are getting worried abt our 3 yr old. Off-late our daughter has been waking up in the middle of the night with quite aggressive tantrums. During day time, she refuses to chew her food or take any instructions (even for a pleasant activity). We want to investigate further.
The waiting period at Central Kowloon Assessment Centre (govt. center) is quite long. Given our current situation, we wish to consult a counsellor asap. Tried to search for reviews of developmental paedia on the net, but couldn?t find much info. Hence the question on this forum. We would be best guided by your experiences.
Also, if any one of you have been to a private counsellor, would you tell us approximate cost of the counselling. We heard that it could be about HKD3000 per hour. Is that the range to expect? Does it mean that the tests required to only investigate would cost us 10-15K? Further treatment / workshops is additional cost?
