Should I go to the hospital?

I'm 38 weeks I got some bright red bloody show yesterday and felt the baby dropped lower into the pelvic region.

To the point I can't stand up straight, increased snot-like discharge, cramps at the pelvic region (similar to menstrual cramps), back pain, leg cramps, dizziness and pain in my vaginal area (sorry TMI).

I was watching for more blood but got none the whole day. But just now, when I was wiping myself, saw some pinkish (super light) stains.

I called my mom who advised me to go straight to the hospital but for myself I would like to wait a little longer. Any advice out there? Really worried as this is my 1st time, thanks.

I had show for a week before the contractions got unbearable. But everyone is different and I really think you should be calling your OB instead of asking for advice here.

Call your Dr and let him know ASAP. I also had the bloody show for 3 days before I went into the hospital. My Dr wanted to wait until my water broke.

sometimes, especially when it is your first child and you are unaware of what to expect etc, you can feel a little uneasy going to the hospital in case it turns out to be nothing and you feel like you are wasting the time of the doctors but I would suggest that you go just for peace of mind.

Trust your instincts and if they send you home and say you are fine, then at least you will know for sure.

I had a show almost 1 month before I actually gave birth. If you just had your antenatal check up, some bloody discharge is very common. Talk to your OB to ease your mind.
