Shichida Method

I have been doing some research on The Shichida Method thru the internet but there is very little info. available. There are lots of comparison between Shichida and Glenn Doman. It seems that, outside Japan, only Singapore and Malaysia have Shichida Centres.

I am interested to know more about the approach and whether it is possible for me to use the method on my 2 year old. Is there a Shichida master trainer in HK? I cannot find books on it too. Can someone enlighten me PLEASE ?

Suz,

Do you have details of the Shichida Centre that only serves Japanese children ? Perhaps they can give me further information cos I am also interested in this method for my 2 year old. Please email me at [email protected] if you have any information. Thanks.

Zee,

If you're still looking for the titles of Prof Shichida's books, here are 6 of them:

1) Science of Intelligence
2) Babies are geniuses
3) Right Brain Education
4) Children can change by the Right Brain
5) The Shichida Method
6) The Mystery of the Right Brain

Apparently you can't buy of the net or in any bookshop. You can only buy them directly from Japan.

Suz and Momo,

If you have the HK Shichida school address or contact, pls advise (though I am aware they take Japanese kids only but I would still like to give it a go).

Tks

Rgds

These books are in English. I managed to source an English copy of these books from one of the members of the Shichida_method Yahoo Asia group. She ordered the books from her contact in Japan. You can also get a copy of the "All babies are geniuses" from www.yesphonics.com in the US (although you have to buy a whole set of materials from them in the process).

I have read books about the Glen Doman method. Only problem is it requires one to be a full time mother/father because of the frequency required in showing the flashcards. I am a full time working mother and find the GD method "working mum unfriendly".

Momo,

I am a full time working mother too and I use my own version of the GD method. It works. My son, now 10 mths old, can go through a session of Maths, English, Chinese, BOI, which last for a total of 15 minutes and he enjoys it very much. He pulls the cards out in the morning and demands his session.

I do 2 sessions before I go to work. We finish before 8:15am. We do another session when I come home at around 8:30pm. We read 2 books at around 9:45pm before I nurse him. I prepare my materials after my son falls asleep, say 10:00pm and on weekends.

A lot of work for the mother but it can be done. If you are determined enough, give it a try. Hard work but very enjoyable.

Good luck and have fun.

Hi Emilly,

In case you haven't got reply.
I found this in site in Japan so it's in Japanese - pls let me know if you cannot encode.

http://www.shichida.ne.jp/map/cgi-bin/show.cgi?rec_id=200002

Afraid I don't have any personal knowledge or experience since I'm still expecting my baby (due in Dec).

Good luck.

Tks Tag.

I have already visited the posted address. It is an office above Caroline centre and it is always empty. The phone is never answered. I left both voice mails and notes at the doorstep but noone replied. =(
