We are a bunch of Aussie expats, 3 maybe 4 households - all single or working couples, no kids and all living in apartments within 15 mins of each other at midlevels. We all have the same requirements - for someone to come in a couple of hours a few times a week to clean and tidy up our apartments while we are at work.
Is it legal to share a helper between us, as the workload is quite basic and the helper would get lots of autonomy and time off in between - we are not fussed about hours as long as the job is done properly. Would one of us have to be a designated employer ? Do we have to hire a local helper if we can't provide accomodation ? We would prefer a phillipino helper due to the language and quality of work - someone who is reliable and very trustworthy since there is minimal level of interaction and supervision. Would appreciate any information of whether this is a feasible or legal arrangement.
