We hired a magician for our son's birthday party and we were really impressed by his performance. We would like to sharing this info for all parents who are looking for a cool magician for birthday parties. Please contact me for details.

one year old is too young to appreciate clowns/magicians/parties. we did a do for our son in restaurants for his first and second birthdays but all he wanted to do was run around. >.<

i personally think so -for the 1st and 2nd birthdays of my daughter i just had a family dinner at a Chinese restaurant. now that she is 3 this year, i might have her friends over so she can have a playgroup with "balloons" and all the yummy snacks she likes. don't think they start appreciating it till 4-5yrs old, well, if they have older siblings they might learn faster...but rarely the first one.

agreed totally. 1st Birthday is more for the parents than the child. 2nd Birthday is still for the family than the child. Not until at least 3 years and beyond will he or she starts to enjoy the party. Even for a 3 years old, their memory still won't last long.... (or even don't remembered at all) if you ask the child years down the road on what happened to his/her 3rd birthday party, i am quite sure he/she did not recall a thing.
