Any september moms out there? This is my 1st pregnancy and i'm very excited expect for the morning and evenining sickness. I would love to share and meet with mommies that are due in september !!!

Hey Sandylee,
I am also a first time mom and due in September. I have my three month appointment on Tuesday - hopefully to check for the baby's heart beat. I have been very lucky and no morning/afternoon/evening sickness at all - maybe that is why I am eager to hear the baby's heart beat.

Hi Everyone,
I have posted another entry in the July -September group. I saw this September group and thought what the hack.
Anyway, my husband and I are expecting our first baby. I am Chinese American. I am about to relocate to Hong Kong. I have lived in Hong Kong before. I am at my 18th-19th week now. I don't have any morning sickness at all and is generally feeling ok, especially in the 2nd trimester.
I will be in HK in July and would like to meet up with you. Maybe we can form a mother/baby group in the future.

I'm so glad to hear from everyone! I'm now 16th week but still suffering from sickness. Luckily, I'll will be back home,Vancouver,in May and will have the baby there! I'm a Chinese-Canadian and married here with no family support apart from my hubby. So i guess you gals can imagine how homesick I am at this moment.
I just went to the doctor last week and luckily was able to determine the sex of my little one. IT"S A BOY!!!!! We were all very shocking that we can tell the sex of the baby with only 15 weeks of pregnancy.
Anyways, hope for the best and keep in touch mommies!

that's very good that you could tell the sex of your baby from the last ultrasound. I am going to have my 20-week next week. My husband and I will have a meeting (our couple meeting) this weekend and whether we want to know the sex of the baby is part of our agenda. Does it make a difference after you know about it? How did you decide that you want to know? I go back and forth--sometimes I want to know, sometimes I don't.

Hi,
I didn't plan to asked the Dr. 1st but it was more of a curiosity. My mom kept on telling me that it's a boy at the beginning due to my major sickness so I guess the whole thing about Chinese myths on carrying a boy vs. a girl totally applied to me). Well I guess now I can start decor for the nursery room and some baby clothes!

Can't make it to coffee
Hi Everyone,
hope you're all doing well. I am still not back in Hong Kong yet but hopefully, I will be able to join the gatherings in July / August (when our bellies get bigger!).
Did anybody find out the sex of the baby yet? I am yet to have my detail scan to look at the baby's organs and see if everything is ok.

I found out my baby's sex at 12 weeks through ultrasound check up.
Dr. asked me if I want to know the sex of baby so I said yes!
He showed me a little projection between the baby's leg.

good to know that one of us know the sex of her baby. Congrats for having a baby boy if that's what you were wishing for. I am yet to find out 2 weeks from now. Also, my husband and I have not reached a decision on whether to do that or not.
Has anybody enrolled in an antenatal class on pregnancy, birth and childcare? I haven't yet. Any recommendations?
I am mainly reading books and talking to friends with kids now.
What to Expect--the first year seems to be a good book. In fact, most of their books are great.
Also, has anybody started baby shopping yet? Let's add this to our future disucssions then.

Way a go gals!! We are nearly there. I'm now nice and chill at my home town Vancouver weather here is so much better. I joined a prenatal yoga class last week and loved it. It really does help with my back pain and breathing (highly recommended if you have major back pain). Anyways, I will be home in HK around December so make sure we all stay in touch for our future baby buddies!!!
