sending 5 kg to 10 kg parcel to UK -

I am thinking to send around 5 to 10kg parcel to my friend in UK. This will be my first time sending parcel overseas.

I am wondering apart from using post office service, should I look around other local courier or shipping company?

I do not need an express service, as long as this parcel get delivered before this christmas.

Any recommendation? and any idea roughly what is the cost i should expect.

(The parcel will only contain books and toys)

years and years ago, i priced it all out and found that the post office was the best deal in town (things may have changed since then, though).

We send packages to UK all the time. A lot of things have changed but the best deal in town being the PO has not changed.
