Second baby after PCOS

I had PCOS before I had my first baby. In case anyone out there has experienced the same I would like to know how hard is it to conceive the second baby and how soon should one start trying? When should I get my levels checked? Would I need to go back on Metformin before trying to conceive again? What did your Gynae suggest? I wish to start taking some precautions before my PCOS symptoms kick in.
