I called a few of the scrapbook supply contacts listed in previous posts but it seems they have all closed down or moved. Anyone have any ideas where I can get scrapbook materials (stamps, embellishments, buttons, cardboard, chipstocks)? Anywhere besides Spotlight in Megabox? Thanks.

Spotlight has lots of varities but too far to go down there.

The one in citic tower had closed down, i don't know where they have moved, but the price there was so expensive.

Artland is wanchai has few choices on pens.

I have LOTS of papers if you want to buy, selling for $4 each. acid free from U.S.

Hi Katboo,

Thanks for the link, but it's mostly beads, sequins which can easily be bought at shamshuipo at a cheaper price.

Mintycat, are you doing traditional scrapbooking? i am, but like you, i find it hard to get supplies here, i sometimes buy thru US websites.

I have around 500 pcs of papers, most has duplicates so i don't need it. One side print only.

Thanks for all the replies! I am so glad to find some fellow scapbookers here. I am a novice and am still learning the ropes. I would love to learn from you guys. I started out with digital scrapbooking just using the templates that came with a how-to book I found but now I am addicted and I am playing with traditional scrapbooking too.

Where is Paper Art?

I think Scrappinggals is closed? I called the number and there was no answer.

I have a few questions for the traditional scrappers out there:
- where do you get sand paper?
- what type of scissors and glue is the best?
- do you print your own photos or print them outside? I want to print at home to save the trip and for convenience purposes. What is a good printer and do you print of photosheets or just plain cardstock?

I also found some embellishments and acid free paper (but plain) at Prints.

Hi Mintycat,

PaperArt is in Central, along the tram road, from across the world wide - bonjour, go straight to wing on area, look along the sign on your left side, there is a big sign paper art on 2nd floor, i'm not so sure, but you won't pass by Li Yuen street. Hope somebody can give you the address.

1. Sand paper maybe at hardware. No help as i have a small pieces here that i can't remember where i got it.

2. Any scissor will do, i cut pictures using a paper cutter/trimmer from EK.

3. I have it printed in a shop. If not, at home using photopaper.

Prints is expensive, better go to spotlight.

How funny that I just found this thread, I just came to post about albums. Are there any stores here with interesting, unique album covers? I am getting ready to make a special memory album for a friend before her wedding. So something with unique fabrics or that sort of thing.

Also, I could have sworn that I have seen punches like the kind used for scrapbooking in the Ladies Market in MongKok.

Scraping club and stores?

Hi I am looking for scrapbook groups and stores.. all the posts that i am seeing about them seem to be a year or 2 old. Are any still around??

wow, I'm so glad to see this thread and found some scrapbookers... I'm also into scrapping, specifically into digital scrapping. I started since 2006.

Lately I'm doing some hybrid stuff and I wanted to know where I could get some chipboard albums...

I tried to call Scrappinggals too but no answer either...

Actually scrappinggals replied to my email and they are in the process of looking for a new space but they still accept online orders from their website. I ordered something and received it pretty quickly.

You can find some chipboard albums in Spotlight and scappinggals website. I also ordered some Maya Road ones from a Singapore scrapbooking website called www.scrappingcove.com.

As for unique albums, you can find Asian themed ones at Papyrus, made with pretty Asian fabric. I can't remember the name of the company that make them, they offer book arts course in LKF. The lady is called Louise Garnault but her company name escapes me right now.

Does anyone who scrapbook group or class

Hi, I am new to Hong Kong back from Canada. I love scrapbooking, does anyone know a place they over equipments such as cutter, stamps, etc and where is a good places to purchase supplies? Please help me out :)

1.PaperArt on des Voex Road in Central has equipment and nice paper at decent prices.
2. HK Memory Chest (in Sheung Wan and Discovery Bay): I didn't end up going to the store but keep getting their mailers. They seem a friendly community with classes and meet-ups in addition to being a shop.
3. Prints in Princes building has nice albums and some equipment.

PS: I'm a complete newbie, but these are the ones I checked out to get started.
