Room For More: July-Aug 08 moms?

Hello,
I am new in town and was wondering if I could join any groups of moms-to-be? I have just moved here from the states to join my husband and am due in September. It would be reallly nice to talk to other people about the pregnancy; my concerns and questions and to get advice. If anyone has any suggestions, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks :smile:

I'm new in town too and would love to meet up with some new moms as well! I'm due in August.

Maybe we can get a group together and meet for lunch?
 
Welcome to July - Sept. There are a few of us in the gang and you are more than welcome to expand our group!

I am not sure of the plans but we generally catch up once per week/fortnight for afternoon tea. It is a nice sharing time with some laughs as well.

Some of the gals I know are due in July (like me) so we are approaching the 'final stage' - not sure how to describe it..?

the 'oh mad panic - is everthing ready?'
the 'umm delivery is a reality' hope it doesnt hurt!
the 'i can not wait to be lighter...'etc
the 'mummyhood and holding bubs is just around the corner!'

Whilst others are due in Aug etc.

It's sounds exciting that you are getting closer to meeting your new one (face to face). It is definately nice to speak with others and share some laughs. I am free anytime to meet up. Can't wait to meet some new friendly faces :smile:
 
I'm really upset that I can't make the get together today. I'll continue to check the forums and if you could post the next date, I'd love to meet up with you ladies!
 
I am also sorry that I was unable to attend. I didn't discover the posting until it was too late. I am still very interested in meeting everyone. I will continue to check postings as well. Is there any specific place I should be looking for postings?

My husband and I just moved from Denver , Colorado, US two weeks ago. I am originally from HK but my husband is from the States. I moved to the US 15 years ago and we decided to move to HK to raise the baby. I would love to meet some new friends in HK and share my pregnant experience. Please let me know when is your next gathering.
 
ylomommy, both my husband and I moved from Vail, Colorado! It would be nice to meet up with you and everyone else. Scones on Sunday sounds like a great opporturnity. I'll continue to check the posts for updates. Look forward to meeting everyone!
 
Scones sounds good, where do you usually meet? Can I bring my husband too? Believe it or not, it is harder for Men to meet friends. Anywhere along MTR will be great! I cannot believe you are from Vail!!!Small world
 
Hey gals,

We are meeting for scones this Sunday (today; sorry for the late post) at 3p, The Press Room on Hollywood Road in Soho.

Its usually just gals, so Im not sure you're husband would really enjoy himself...but he's more than welcome.
