This is an old thread, but I just wanted to put in a word in case anyone else is looking.
There's plenty of discussion about this online, so I won't go into detail.
Our experience has been great with Charlie Bananas after 6 months and G-diapers from 2-6 months.
Pros:
Saves money - potentially loads.
Reusables can last for use with multiple children.
They look nice on the baby
Gentler on baby's skin
More environmental - this reason comes first for many.
Cons:
Requires a load of wash every day or every other day
Not always easy to find the parts abroad - easiest and cheapest to buy in places like the US
I would recommend a combined solution. For instance, we use disposables at night and on trips but stick to reusables for the rest of the time.
