Returning to work pregnant after maternity leave...

Hi Everyone,

I am currently in the final few weeks of my maternity leave but have just found out I am pregnant again... It is very early days in to the pregnancy but I cant help but worry about the security of my job and how my employer will react when I later inform them I will need to take a second maternity.

Has anyone here experienced back to back pregnancies? Also are there any maternity laws around allowing a second maternity so soon after your return?

I do need to speak to the HR to discuss the company policy once I return. But if anyone has any experience or advice on this topic please let me know.

You are protected by law - they can't sack you whilst pregnant for being pregnant, there's no company policy that needs to be discussed, Also if you're only a few weeks pregnant it'll be a while before you need to tell them. Just go back, carry on as usual and don't tell them until you need to tell them.
