return trip home

we are in the process of hiring a helper...her contract ends in august and it is early termination due to financial reasons upon her current employer. does she have to go back home before applying for a new visa? and if so do we pay for the airfare?

also she wants to go back home for a wedding in september and says she can make her return then. does that mean that we will have to wait until after her return trip before she can start working for us?

sorry for the questions - we are new to this.

1) you are ONLY responsible for the portion of her airfare to get her to hk. you will have to pay the airfare to phil when she finishes her contract. so, her current employer should be paying for her airfare to go to the phil and you should be paying for her to return to hk. (you are only responsible for one way as her current employer will be paying the other portion). make sure she KNOWS that you KNOW this... she may play "dumb" and expect you to pay for all of it, especially if her current employer pays her cash instead of buying a ticket.
2) she should be able to defer her return to the phil until sept without you having to wait for her to start with you. however, you need to decide if sept is an acceptable time for you for her to leave.
