Resume breastfeeding at 3 months - is it possible?

I stopped breastfeeding when my baby was one month old and wanted to resume because I recently went back to work (and want to find ways to bond with my baby), More importantly, I found out that I still have milk supply.:). I wanted to do that at the night time. But do you think I can still increase my milk supply and is that going to affect my baby's digestive system. (he has constipation since I stopped breastfeeding and is getting better recently. I do not want to mess with it again.

perhaps you can start by latching your baby directly. Because you have stopped for a while, your body system would not be able to track your baby's demand by now. By latching your baby directly, it helps to drive the supply back to demand again. But if you are working, perhaps you can latch when you are at home at night.

Thanks joyofliving for replying. A Mum, ask for Sarah, she is so well experienced and so good in listening and advising. Hope you have a good start.

I once helped a mother who stopped breastfeeding at one month and started again at two months. It took her a while to return to full breastfeeding with no supplements but she and her baby managed it.

The main question is whether or not your baby will latch on and breastfeed correctly. Some babies will and others have a hard time.
