resort recommendation in bali

Hi, we are taking our 2 year old and 7 month old to Bali in May. Any hotel recommendations? I have stayed at the Ritz Carlton but didn't like it. I hear the Grand Hyatt is kids friendly but old. How about the Legian?

Also, do you know if we can book pool villas if we bring kids? I heard from a travel agent that most hotels won't let you book a pool villa if you have kids for fear of accidents.

What is there to do in Bali with kids?

I stayed at the Hard Rock Bali. It's great for kids! And, you can rent your own private cabana for very little by the pool. It reminds me of Southbank in Brisvegas! And no one would frown if there's a kid throwing a tanty!

Grand Hyatt's great too but wasn't there with a kid then.

We stayed at the Sofitel Bali in Seminyak, in a pool villa.

They are perfect for children, it's not like you are going to leave them unsupervised!
