Remove smell from bed mattress

Hello,
My 2.5 yr old daughter came from school with a virus yesterday. She vomited all night. Her mattress stinks and I do not know how to get rid of the smell. I washed it with soap, opened the window for a while and alternated with air conditioning but it is still very present.
How do you deal with that? Is there any product I could use on the mattress?
For the future, is there a place where I can buy this kind of plastic cover to protect the mattress from kids wetting the bed?
Thank you.

try taking baking soda and pouring all around the area which she vomited it. Maybe leave it on for an hour then vaccuum it up.

for future, just buy a crib mattress protector. most baby stores sell them like mothercare, B2B, eugene's. I bet Wing On sells it too. If you want additional protection you can then also put a water protection layer in btw too.

Just buy a waterproof mattress pad for a twin bed. You can get them at B2B as well as at Wing On. I have at least two so that if one gets soiled, then I can immediately put another on.

yes, then just get the standard mattress protector - same thing. all major department stores sells them like Wing On, Sogo etc...
