Relocating to Shanghai with my domestic helper

Hi,

My family (husband, me and baby) is planning to relocate to Shanghai on business contract earlier next year. Does anyone know whether we can bring our Filipino domestic helper over and transfer her contract etc.? Our helper is newly hired and will be arriving HK in Dec. If so, how does it work? Are we still regulated under the HK contract such as wages, holiday etc.?

A friend just moved there with her phil maid. The maid visa was not easy to obtain. The company will need to be the sponsor f or the visa as well.

HK employment contract do not hold in China, Shanghai. However, I wonder if your maid will want to relocate with you if u localised the contract . I've no cliue with regards to the contract differences. But my friend keep the HK contract for her maid to make a go!

I am also moving to Shanghai in November with my 16 month old son and newborn. We are bringing our helper with us so I will be sure to let you know what paperwork is required. Sorry for not replying. It was such a mess and we decided to stay in HK at the end. My baby boy is now 6 months old, so cute and we are having more interactions now.

Although we are not staying Shanghai anymore, we do have a nice, convenient and brand new apartment for rent there. PM me if anyone is interested.
