We have employed a Philippina domestic helper since February 2012. We have just found out we will be returning to our country of origin in December 2012 and would love to find a happy new home for our helper.
Her strong points:
Keeps a very clean home
Very good with our two children, a two year old boy and a newborn baby.
If there is a problem regarding the children that she cannot fix on her own she always calls.
Generally very reliable (a couple of incidents where she has taken my son out and left her phone behind making her uncontactable, but solved after talking to her about it).
Good with laundry.
Good all round attitude. Listens to instructions. Positive around the children and ensures my boy uses good manners etc.
After instruction now understands good nutrition for my toddler and provides him with healthy meals and snacks.
Has done a First Aid for babies and children course.
Her areas for development:
Her English language is very good, but sometimes we find we have to communicate very clearly to ensure we are understood properly.
Cooking in general. But she is very willing to learn and has learned some Western recipes from myself (eg. she now makes a very nice spaghetti).
