I went for dimsum today and watching everyone else have them I too ordered the chinese savory crepe. It was light and spongy with scallions and ham in it, can't find the recipe online. The waitress said its called Po Pang, can anyone please give me the recipe and what its called exactly?? Would love to make them for my daughter :)

I know what you are talking about.... lol! and just to let you know, young generation of chinese women don't know how to cook (at least the ones I know don't know)... And specially, they don't know how to make dim sum, cause it is time consuming, and it is very convenient to eat it outside (there is always at least one chinese restaurant that serve dim sum in each corner!.. and you can even buy it packed at supermarkets!!!)

About the recipe, I think I have seen that before (and even made that before).. I think it is mainly made of a mixture of regular flour and other type of flour (like tapioca, which gives it the chewy texture), water, (and probably eggs), and whatever filling you want, like ham, scallion, etc.

Let me see if I can still find it.

Hi hun, found one recipe online which is made of potato.
Link is here: ????????? (yee's ????)

Basically the ingredients are the following:
400 grams potato. Peeled and shredded
380 grams water
220 grams flour
5 grams salt
dried shrimp. Soaked and diced
pepper, coriander

Just mix everything, and fry in a fry pan.

Let me know how it tastes!
