Recent Tsan Yuk and Queen Mary experiences?

Previous posts give mixed reviews for prenatal checks at Tsan Yuk and deliveries at QMH but am hoping new mums can shed some light on what it's like now. I haven't seen anything posted since last year and am keen to read newer info about pros, cons and what's ahead for me, DH and LO. Thanks!

We delivered there this January.
Was a great experience.
The information days seem a little weird. They start off asking you when caring for the baby starts (?!) but the hospital is great.
I said in a different thread; be sure to stay at home for as long as you can. Most people come to the hospital way too early. Your husband is not allowed in until you are 3 cm dilated.
That sucks!

Other than that this was a great experience.

Congratulations on the pregnancy. When are you due?

Hi again

Due end of March 2014. Have had a few checks at Tsan Yuk so far and have booked in for antinatal classes (although 2 out of 5 are full and im on waiting list). Can you tell me if hubby can still come in with you if they haven't attended classes? The paperwork i got said no and of course, he needs to attend those that are already full. So is it possible to do antinatal classes elsewhere and still deliver with husband by my side at QMH?

Thanks for your advice!

Hi everyone, I too am keen to hear about recent delivery experiences at QMH. So far I've not been blown away by the service and check ups thus far. Also a little concerned by the general lack of hygiene at check ups and screening days. If anyone has a recent overview of their delivery experience (was your husband with you, were you forced to have an episiotomy, were the doctors gentle or rude & abrupt?) it would be greatly appreciated if you could share it here with us. Thanks in advance.
