Raspberry leaf tea

Has anyone seen Raspberry Leaf Tea in health stores around HK? It's supposed to be great in the last trimester and post partum.

I think Traditional Medicinals makes some, but the only tea I have been able to find from this brand in HK is the Mother's Milk Tea, which they used to carry at eBabyAsia.

Hi Twinkle,

They have a full range of Traditional Medicinal teas at the health food shop in discovery bay. I drank around 3 cups of Rasberry Leaf tea every day from 36 weeks onwards, I had my daughter at 39 weeks, naturally, with just 4 hours of Labour !

Thanks Rani and Kate.

I have just had my second baby and I am anxious for my uterus to contract back to it's normal size so that I don't look 5 months pregnant. I hear raspberry leaf tea is great for that.

You can also get raspberry leaf tea at All Things Healthy in the Centrium on Wyndham Street... 25251778....

Green Concepts Health Shop in Causeway Bay has a HUGE selection of Traditional Medicinal teas (probably at least 50+ different kids including the full range for children). They are also cheaper than anywhere else in HK. They have an online shop as well.

Actually, you can drink Raspberry Leaf Tea throughout pregnancy unless there is some sort of threat to the pregnancy as it's full of helpful vitamins and minerals and tones the uterus. In the US, many home birth midwives give it to their clients to use throughout pregnancy. Where I'm from, many midwives grow it themselves.

I drank Raspberry Leaf Tea with my first pregnancy and went into labor naturally exactly on my due date--not sure if the two are related.

Breast feeding speeds the process of getting your uterus back in shape!

But there is only so much both breastfeeding and raspberry leaf tea can do. The poochy belly after pregnancy isn't totally related to your uterus (although directly after birth it might be)--it's related to the fact that your core muscles are pushed out of place--sometimes the only way to go back to totally having a tight stomach is surgery, honestly--depends on how big you got during your pregnancy and how stretched apart those muscles are.

I think B2B sometimes carries it also,I think Annerley used to have it (haven't really had reason to look for it for the last year and a half :-)

(Has to be said I drank it and was two weeks late!)
