Hi,Dear all.
Because my husband will relocate to Hongkong, our family will move to there in May this year.
I'm expecting a baby now and the EDD is end of July.
Since May is very late to book hospital.I'm going to make a travel to Hongkong for a week in March and book the deliver hospital for my baby.
Our new home will stay around Pok Fu lam. So I'm interesting of Queen Mary hospital cause it is very near.

And my questions are:
1, How about the booking procedure of Queen Mary hospital? I know it is asked to have antenatal check in Tsan yuk hospital.
2, How long ahead should I make the Antenatal Registration in Tsan yuk hospital? I only stay at Hongkong for a week next month.
3, When I make the Antenatal Registration in Tsan yuk though hotline, should I give them Hongkong ID number, which I can get only after my first arrive to Hongkong in March.
4, Is it expencive for me to give birth in Queen Mary hospital ?

1) you can't register untilk yoiu are in hk. call them once you have arrived. bring your medical records from your current doctor with you to give to the drs here.
2) see #1.
3) you will need a HKID card. the day after you arrive, go to immigration. they will issue you with a temporary card. you can use that to make your bookings.
4) it costs $100HKD/day + $50/day for the baby, once it arrives. (this is for the public service. they also provide a private service that is on par with the other private hospitals in hk.)

Thank you so much carang.
Can I get the first check the day when I register? Or how many days after the registration?

not usually, but if you are quite far along in your pregnancy, i'm not sure how it works as i've only gone at the beginning of my pregnancies.

forgot to say, that because QMH is a public hospital, they WILL NOT turn a hk resident away (which is why you need a hkid card asap).
