Public Playrooms & Playgrounds in HK?

HI,
I'm new to HK with a v active 22 mth toddler.
I overheard in passing at the playgrd at HK Park that there are public playrooms.

1. Does anyone know of good ones and are they clean?
I'm struggling to keep todd entertained on rainy/murky days when outdoor playgrds are not a good idea.

2. Can any one also recommend some good playgrounds on HK island pls? .. we've almost exhausted the one at HK Park.

1. the public playrooms are cleaned hourly as far as i know and have experienced

2. the playgrounds here in chai wan park are great and there's also a turtle/fish pond as well as a RC boat pool.
 
Wise Kids has a great indoor playroom in Cyberport that is worth going to. Sessions cost $60 or $80. They have a website.

We used to go to the Stanley indoor playroom a lot. It's free and it's cleaned regularly, every hour I think, but too many parents let their kids go there when they are sick and lately my kids would always end up sick within a day of visiting it so we steer clear now. It's possible that the morning sessions are ok as less children seem to go.

Babycakes in Horizon Plaza is a new cafe with a great little play area. We like it because it's clean, new and not overly busy. They also sell good coffee and cupcakes so it's a nice little treat for mum and child.

I think rainy days are really hard in HK. There's not a hell of a lot to do. I'd like to hear what other people have to suggest.
 
Hi, there's two lovely playgrounds at Coombe Road on HK Island -- we always have a great time there!:yeah2

For public playrooms - the best I've been to is Kennedy Town (Smithfield Road) and the Toy Library (Central Library Causeway Bay) well worth checking out as well - beautiful building and lots to do for that age group.

Yes! Forgot about Wisekids playroom - we were there today and the rate has gone up to HK $100 for one and a half hours! But, it is really very good for toddlers- so many different things to do that it's hard to fit it all into the 90 minutes actually :haha:
 
Are these playrooms too much for a 7-month old?

I'm thinking it's going to be a long summer without being able to walk to the park and playground (heat, sun and humidity). Have to get out and about and can't afford to walk around air conditioned shopping centres all summer (too tempted to buy!).

Would love to hear ideas and suggestions.

wise kids has a section which is for 3-30 months probably ur kid can enjoy , our son loves the water bed and they have lot of toys that u can show them to stimulate them
 
Stanley playroom is for all ages up til 5 or so I guess though you never see kids that old there. Lots of babies go because it's all padded.
