We've been told by Annerley, that if you are giving birth in a public hospital (i.e. Queen Mary), you will be required to have 3 separate bags ready for your arrival to pass to the hospital staff (pre-labour, labour, post natal).
Contents required, include maternity pads, bed pads, masks, mesh underwear, etc.
Although your partner can purchase these items at the 7-11 in the hospital (and they will make your partner get everything on the list!), I have just found mini and large kits at Eugene Club Baby in Central for 169.00 (mini) and 260.00 (large). Much cheaper than Annerley's kit, which will run you just over 900.00 (but includes some little extras, like massage oil, lip balm, tea, and some others, which I already have and really don't need).
