Public Hospital and Scans

Am going for my 20wk scan next week and was hoping to find out the sex of the baby. But recently I've just been told that they won't say anything at public hospitals. I kinda expected this but was hoping for the opposite. Does anyone know if this is true and if so, where could I go for a private scan just to find out the sex?

I had a 20 week scan in the public system (Tsan Yuk...sp?) They asked me if I wanted to know the sex of the baby. I said yes and they told me. They just told me they could not tell me 100%. I guess that way if they ever make a mistake you are aware that the info from scans can be wrong sometimes.

They told me at Tsan Yuk as well. If you want additional scans though, I went to the Hong Kong Prenatal Diagnostic clinic or whatever they're called and found them pretty good - they give you a DVD of the entire scan, with sound as well. I saw Dr Lam there, he was pretty nice.
