Hi everyone,

Just wondering if anyone can answer a question about using progesterone suppositories after ovulation, as I'm worried I'm starting them too soon. I had a trigger shot on Thursday lunchtime, IUI on Friday late morning, and my doctor told me to start using Crinone (progesterone) on Saturday morning. From what I understood, you normally ovulate between 24 and 48 hours after the trigger, so I could have ovulated as late as Saturday lunchtime. If the egg can then stay alive for 24 hours, it could still have been viable until Sunday lunchtime. I thought that once you start taking progesterone, you can no longer conceive (is that right??) - so I'm worried that my doc is having me start progesterone too soon.
Does anyone have any experience with this, or any different advice from their doctor?

Hello there....

Sorry i cannot answer your question but my experience is that I triggered on sat midnight, did iui on monday lunch time and started Crinone on tuesday morning. And it worked. I got BFP. And i will be staying on it probably till week 12. So maybe it helps. GOOD LUCK. Hope you get your BFP soon.

CONGRATULATIONS!! That's great news- you must be so happy!
From what I recall we were with the same doctor and in similar situations, so your BFP gives me hope that I might get mine soon.
