Hi,

Can anyone suggest a good photographer to take photos of my 15 month old toddler and some family shots?

Any suggestions much appreciated.

Roughly how much is it like per photo? I know they have different packages, but can you give a guide line of your package? Thanks.

I’ve had to look back through my e-mails to find the prices. I didn’t take a package but just ordered exactly what I wanted. I had a budget of $10,000 and didn’t want to go over it!

Canvas - size 44'' x 24'' was $4300.
Matt Photos in Frames were:
2 x trio (each with 3 6R prints) = $1050 x 2 = $2100
2 x 12”x16" print = $1200 x 2 = $2400
Duet (with 2 x 8R prints) = $1200
I also ordered some plain prints for my daughter’s portfolio and I can’t remember how much these were but we got four free prints with the photo session.

A Canadian kids photographer that we have used in the past happens to be in HK in Feb for shoots. He doesn't really do 'studio' shots, but specialises in 'documentary' style shots in natural daylight (ie, kids just being kids!).

I second Moments Gallery. We have been there twice (pregnancy and then family portrait) and we have only great things to say about Teresa. She knows how to capture my kids' attention (2.5 years old and 6 months) and the pictures all turned out beautifully. We decided we will go back every year to take family portraits. Highly recommended!!!
 
I agree with KatBoo, we had our son photographed by Ian Taylor for his 1st birthday and were very happy. His work is fantastic!
 
This is an old thread, but would anyone have any recommendations for a reliable, reasonably priced photographer? My M-i-L, brother-in-law and his family are all going to be visiting HK soon, and we thought that we should get some photos taken as we don't know how long M-i-L can continue travelling. The photographer would have to come to our place as there are young children. Thanks!

Hi,
I know Ian is back in HK right now... he is really good and I can recommend him because we have used him twice. But, you have to like photojournalism style - not the "posed" stuff. Ian has always had great success if getting the best out of the four of us and he gives you ALL the proofs - you develop what you want.
