Private OB that will deliver at QMH

I am trying to find a good private OB who does not insist on deliverying only at private hospitals. Can anyone recommend an open minded/western methods OB who also delivers at QMH?

i found DR CORA NGAI who works at the queen mary, to be very open minded and EXCELLENT. she delivered my triplets and was supportive, caring etc the entire time.

however, the doctor is bound by the rules of the hospital. the queen mary, for example, does not allow husbands in for emergency c-sections. a doctor cannot change that rule. i believe the queen mary also has rules regarding when epidurals can be used. (anaesthesiologists work only certain hours, or something like that, i could be mistaken). again, a doctor cannot change the rules.

cora ngai is an excellent doctor. however, i believe the doctors there work on a rota system, and there is no way of guaranteeing who delivers your baby if you go into natural labour.

sorry, i forgot to recommend dr philip ho. he is an excellent doctor and was a great help to me throughout the first 18 weeks of my second pregnancy. he delivers (and teaches) at the queen mary hospital and is very respected in the medical profession. i believe his contact details are listed on this site.

he is very good.
