Hi. Need some expert advise. I have decided to go through the half and half route . Private consultations and delivery at Public. I am at 12 weeks and have not registered with Queen Mary as yet. Do I have to do monthly check ups at Public system if I am getting them done at a Private clinic? Does that mean I have to go through this twice? Please advice

Congratulations!

Yes, once you register with the public system you are expected to go for monthly check ups. If you have insurance or happy to pay for all the prenatal screening privately then you can register at Tsan Yuk later. Best to be upfront with your Dr that this is your plan so that he shares the results of any tests and you can hand copies to Tsan Yuk.

Thank you so much for the info. I have already discussed this with my private doctor and he says I can register by the time I have hit my 20th week and he can share all the medical reports with the Public system. I was just a bit confused by the system here. My husband's insurance will cover about 80% of my private consultations, scans and blood work. So Ive decided to go through the half and half route after all.
